Re: ecu loses 3 d linemenThe Pirates have reached a level of futility on defense that’s staggering by anyone’s standards. Yeah, there was some rebuilding to be done in Greenville, but this has become the theater of the absurd. After being trashed for 62 points and more than 600 yards by 2-8 Rice, East Carolina has now yielded 229 points over the last four games. It’s a good thing this program can score points and wrapped up bowl eligibility a few weeks back.

Re: ecu loses 3 d linemenEven if they had all their D linemen, they still have a weak defense. The key to this win will be consistent play on special teams (not constantly bad play!) and a solid D performance. This is a game the D could easily win.
Re: ecu loses 3 d linemenhttp://espn.go.com/college-football/tea ... na-pirates
they can still score but they are dead last in d 1 in d. if we can stop them every now and then we should win this game.
Re: ecu loses 3 d linemenThis is a good sign, crazy they gave up 60+ to Rice. Look forward to ZLine putting up another 200+ game..just might have to pick him up on my fantasy college team this week.
Re: ecu loses 3 d linemenWere all three out for Rice also?
I'd like to see Padron throw for 400 + yds, but it would be hard not to run all day if they have no D line. No reason to stop yourself if they arent going to. worth a note....they will be at home - it is always dangerous to extrapolate a CUSA loss on the road to mean they cant come back and win at home (see UTEP).
