Adrian Klemm

Isn't he our MVP this year ? With the super recruits he is bringing in and the superb job with our OL (opening holes for Zack Line), whatever he is making, give him a raise. Our OL has been our strength this year (they all return except for 1), giving Padron time for 2 -1000 yard receivers and a 1000-yard runner...thank you, Coach Klemm !

The recruits might have talent, but at this point, they're exactly that — recruits.

That said, Coach Klemm seems to be doing a heck of a job.

Our MVP, however, is Zach Line.

I could be wrong but I thought all of the starters on the O-line are juniors.

Klemm will be gone soon. His success will not be missed by other coaches in more prestigious programs. That is the nature of this profession and when that time happens I wish him well and thanks for all he has done for and with this program. I hope JJ can keep him but he is just too good not to attract attention.

Ponyte- don't necessarily agree. Klemm was coached by JJ and is 'one of the family'. He will probably leave someday but not soon. He is a great recruiter but is still learning how to coach, and for that he wants to learn from the best- JJ. JMHO.

I do so hope you are correct and loyality trumps ambition. We could use a couple of more years of Klemm's recruiting talents.

of course loyalty trumps ambition. i mean look at Vic Viloria. He...oh wait, yea - he was incredibly loyal to smu but when the money/opportunity presented itself, had to take it and left.

i think loyalty is a great concept, but in the end, the guy is going to do what's best for him and his family. i just hope we can keep him around a while longer. he is incredible.

One thing to keep in mind is Klemm was a 3 time superbowler, he should have a nice nest egg from playing in the NFL. So I would think the theory of learning from JJ is more important right now than a quick paycheck and potentially fail given he only has 2 years of coaching. I would guess we have him for atleast 2 more seasons and if he is given more responsiblity maybe more.

He is gone unless we increase his pay, or make him head coach in waiting...I suggest we do both...

Klemm is a stud, let's hope he sticks around at least another year or two. This is his first coaching gig so he may need a couple more years.

Pay raise, absolutely!

I absolutely hate the concept of "head coach in waiting". It has caused problems at both Florida State and Texas, IMO.

I would guess that at this point in his coaching career he would prefer more responsibility than a lot more money. He should have a nestegg from his NFL days but he is short on coaching experience. Let's hope he is here for a long time. I believe that JJ's coaches usually stay with him so he doesn't have a lot of turnover.

We are neither Florida or Texas, and we know JJ isn't going to want to stay around till he is 80 like Pterno, Mack Brown, or Bowden...

Lets give him more responsibilities and a better title....it works at most companies and it should work here...

Would you prefer Klemm or Reinbold as the next head coach? - from what you know and have seen.

Hopefully that won't happen sooner than 2014

How often do position coaches make a jump directly to head coach? Even great coordinators don't always become "good" head coaches.............
