Frightened Irish vs. Frightened Methodists

Postby HB Pony Dad » Sat Nov 27, 2010 1:46 pm

I have decided to stay home and watch this one on the HDTV as I hate to admit that I have bad vibes about this one.

I have no desire to drive back home from the coliseum if the stinkin' Irish beat our Bad Boy Butts this evening.

They haven't won in 8 years so I'm sure they'll be up and can smell the Trojan's vulnerability!

Plus I can watch the Okies battle as well on my side by side HDTVs.

At least I won't have to battle The Thadsta' for the remotes' sound control!

pretty narrow TV market for that game; most of the country will get OU vs OSU in the bedlam game

I hate it when I am so prescient!

I just forgot to factor rain into the equation as well as RoJo dropping a perfectly thrown sure TD pass from Mitch!

Oh Well, a rivalry isn't really worth a d@mn if one team always wins and ND could smell the fact that we can NOT Block, Tackle, or Run.

The Irish get to add an emerald shamrock to the jeweled-shillelagh

Hopefully we will at least keep the Victory Bell

and not have to give that over to the stinkin' Bruins next week.

These NCAA sanctions are really going to hurt next year and I expect us to be even worse.

Thank goodness I'm a Ponyfan as well!

I got bad news for you-I've followed schools that got similiar probations-these sanctions will hurt you even more 3-4 years from now. It hurt even earlier than I thought because I guess the free transfer issue

I recall a couple of years ago when I joined the board that you thought a USC fan had no idea of suffering.

OK

You were more than 100% right!

I'm also frightened that the 3-4 years may be optimistic.

Monte Kiffin's Defense for a college team doesn't work, probably because the 5 star recruits are too dense to understand the basic idea-TACKLE!

When I played the game we were taught to tackle between the waist and the knees.
The Trojans have yet to perfect this technique, much less any other method of Tackling.

Lane needs Norm Chow back as he can't call Offensive (other than in the odoriferous sense) plays worth a d@mn.

Grief; we can't Run, or Block and our basic play is a parallel naked screen pass.

Awful to watch, but I guess Lane must still think Reggie is free in space.

We are a joke and I fear we are probably going to lose to UCLA as well.

I'm sure Norm is planning a special gift for us next week.

The only probable joy this season will hopefully be the ending of "Pony Exce$$", which I'm sure you will enjoy as much as I shall, after Cam wins the Heisman Trophy!

LOL...but have to be ne-named.;.USC:..The Ascent'.
The long term football reputation of USC will still get them the athletes they need and I personally don't think its as bad as other schools history after penalty.
