Is that where we belong when we're 11-1 or 12-0? It's tough to scream obscenities at a mirror when you're looking at yourself.

Re: Now that Boise is toast...Not only that but every time a non BCS team makes a BCS Bowl they need to perform-no they need to WIN. Or else we are going to be hearing about it for 10 years and voters will downgrade all non-BCS teams in future years.

Re: Now that Boise is toast...

But more likely they would be exposed for the 15-25 team they are.
Bingo. Yes, it would be poetic justice, etc., but to hell with that. I don't want to see them in a major bowl with Brent Musberger falling all over himself to tell us how a glorified secondary coach is the second coming of Knute Rockne. Put the Frogs where they belong, in the Whocares Bowl. They have had a nice little run, but I never can and never will wish success for them in anything they do. Sorry. It's called a rivalry. My TCU friends hate SMU, and I hate TCU. Wouldn't have it any other way.
lay off the Cuervo before noon, dude. SMU's wagon is hitched to TCU's, for better or worse. ________________________________________________________________

When we're 11-1 or 12-0, yeah, that's where we'll belong to Frog fans. I agree — I don't want them to win or enjoy success. It would be like Cowboys fans hoping the Eagles and Giants really enjoy some playoff success. It's just wrong on every level. "What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Re: Now that Boise is toast...I submit that if we had a system that didn't place us as "have-nots", I would wholeheartedly agree with you. Unfortunately, they are what we want to be, and in this back-asswards system, it would behoove us to wish success upon them every single week except the one we play them.
Re: Now that Boise is toast...Bottom Line: If a bunch of non-BCS schools get run out of the Stadium like Georgia did to Hawaii there won't be ANY ie ZERO non-BCS schools in BCS Bowls. We are lucky that Utah and Boise have exceeded expectations in BCS Bowls and TCU has had a lot of success against BCS schools. Don't assume that continues. It would be very easy for voters to discount an undefeated SMU team for all those BCS 1 loss teams like Oklahoma St, Ohio St. Michigan St. Wisconsin, LSU this year. This ain't rocket science.

Re: Now that Boise is toast...Hear, hear Stallion, etc. Glad to know that at least some of us understand how the cow ate the cabbage. TCU is our template for success and we should hope for them to continue to be a thorn in the side of the BCS.
Re: Now that Boise is toast...we've lived it before when SMU was ranked about No. 4- 5 and got relegated to the Sun Bowl

Re: Now that Boise is toast...
Really?.....I can't believe that there are those on here that can't see that all of us ''have nots' have to root for TCU and wish them success this year. We can hate TCU when we play them, otherwise there but for the grace of God go us. The only BCS buster this year is TCU and we can ramble on about the Frogs next year in Ft Worth and if we were to win there after a season like TCU is having this year, we will then see our respective stock go up.
Re: Now that Boise is toast...I hope they get to play for the NC, because a worse case scenario would involve them playing in a BCS Bowl game, but not the NC BCS game, while two one loss teams (if certain things happen) beat each other up and somehow they leap frog the two title teams and are handed the NC without having to play in the actual game.
Far fetched for sure, but not out of the question if they are the only undefeated team left standing. #NewLobCity
Re: Now that Boise is toast...SC is capable of beating Auburn; they had a lead AT Auburn when they played earlier this year. If Lattimore is healthy and SC can run the ball effectively, they can beat anyone
Also...Oregon has to survive their rivalry game AT Oregon State. Not a sure thing
Re: Now that Boise is toast...
At least you're correct to an extent by using SC as opposed to USC, but you should really refer to them as South Carolina or So. Carolina. Big Brother agrees with us...
BTW who do we root for Clemson or the other SC? SMU - IT'S YOUR TURN

Re: Now that Boise is toast...Tcu will play Wisconsin in the rose bowl not ohio state. This is unfortunate for tcu because they could beat Osu but I don't think they match up well with Wisconsin. It does not mean tcu isn't a very good team just not going to beat Wisconsin. Full disclosure I am a little biased because my cousin is the badgers starting center (brag).
Re: Now that Boise is toast...I'm pulling for SC (can't call them "Carolina" either because most people figure Carolina is the Tar Heels). Poor Gamec0cks have always struggled with their identity, but they have the best team they've fielded since I've lived here (since 1993).
Sent both kids to Clemson and I'm basically neutral in this game. Pull for both SC schools...usually pull for the team it means more to and this year it is SC/Carolina Would love to see SC beat Auburn and throw the BCS into a tailspin. Would they actually put TCU in the title game against Oregon? I'd like to see how TCU's defense would do against Oregon's offense...but afraid that would be the least watched BCS Championship game since they started this system. You know the BCS boys would like to put Ohio State in the title game (if Auburn or Oregon falters), but they aren't going to be able to get them past even Wisconsin this year
