several players have told a friend of mine(who has class w/ several of them) that June and his staff would less than trilled to see us go to the Liberty Bowl and play Georgia...

the sentiment is that June wants to win a bowl and not have to play a team that would be overly difficult for us.

Well I guess I can understand to some extent.........I would think a bowl game win would be more impressive to recruits than a loss. It makes the idea of playing for JJ even more attractive I would imagine.

Somehow I just do not believe Jones is telling his players he is scared to play a good team. He may not want a cold outdoor game as opposed to hometown Hawaii but no coach is going to indicate a lack of desire to play the best available to their players.

Sounds like he wants the Armed Forces Bowl, and he'll probably get it. No travel to worry about and a manageable opponent.

June Jones was just angling for the Hawaii Bowl.

I would not doubt it but it is a no brainer to have a bowl game at your home stadium with no travel expense.
