The point is TCU is lightyears ahead of us in fan support. Of course they have a headstart with their on field product. I hope we sell out our allotment this year not to mention see a boost in season tickets. If people don't see this team is on the rise, they prolly never will.

you know, I'm really not trying to ball-bust Stallion. But-and this is true-I saw that release somewhere earlier today, and thought for a split second about posting it. Then two things entered my head. One, as someone else said, it's the f ing Rose Bowl. Two, I thought...that's something Stallion will probably post later.

it's really time we stop talking about TCU. Who cares. Please go join them in the Rose Bowl. I really don't understand the obsession with posting every little thing they do.

I will have to disagree. TCU is very similar to SMU and provides the best measure of what can be accomplished. Like it or not, they are setting the bar for us right now

I beg to differ. It seems to be an obsession on Stallion's part. It's the Rose Bowl, their biggest game in TCU's modern era and #3 in the nation. Good for them but I could care less.

We know the point- it is for stallion to rub in how bad SMU fans are. We have s*cked for 25 years and lost a lot of fans in the process. It takes time to get people back for pete's sake. Additionally, there is little difference in cachet between the Rose Bowl and the Armed Services Bowl. We are in the process and to think otherwise is unrealistic.

If SMU were in the Rose Bowl, it would sell its allotment quickly as well. It's the freaking Rose Bowl.

It is newsworthy and I am glad someone posted it, whether it be Stallion or RGV.

When Orsini mentioned the lack of ticket sales while in NY, I wish someone would have asked him what HE was doing to increase attendance ala a Mustang Mania campaign. We can all talk about bring friends to games, I personally have taken some 30 people to Moody during the Doh reign, and while I support that, I don't think it is enough. I think the CofC campaign to overpay JJ has been a rousing success for SMU. Additional money to increase our marketing would likewise be a great investment IMO.

Maybe there is someone in Fort Worth who would prefer to live in Dallas, I don't know, but the Frogs are doing something right and are definitely a school we should always compare ourselves to.

and Lifeson, I think you have as much right to call out Stallion for being a fan as he does you...in other words, neither has a legitimate right as you 2 are among our most loyal. btw, wasn't Stallion in Orlando just as you were?
