TCU's feature more red than purple. Guess they finally figured out that red is a superior school color.

I would be upset if I were TCU. They've spent decades building an image and a brand with purple as their primary color. Those uniforms are unrecognizable as TCU. Their biggest exposure ever, the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day, and they're wearing black and silver - no purple?

The other Nike bowl uniforms seem to stick to the schools' primary colors. My guess is Nike had a problem with purple - it's one of the hardest colors to get "right" and doesn't reproduce well in print and on television. So they ditched the purple altogether.

These look like the same unis TCU wore against Oregon State this year. It's fine to go with an "outside the box" look for one or two games, but the Rose Bowl???

If I was a casual college football fan, I would never know what Oregon and TCU school colors are. Don't see any major changes in Boise St. and Florida uni's

Nike is bad for uniforms and bad for sports.

almost seems like the schools are giving up their identity(traditional colors) for the sake of the
"all mighty dollar"
