What color do you get if you mix red and blue?

It could be fun if that was the game ball.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

SMU can go blank itself with this call for a black out. My team's colors are red and blue.

The only thing a blackout supports is sales at the bookstore.

What kind of idiocracy asks its fans to wear black when it's not a school color, or even a patriotic color?

I will show my support for the Armed Forces by exercising my freedom to wear whatever I want.

I see in a thread below that the call for the blackout (which was issued Christmas Eve, when no one's paying attention) has been canceled. Of course, it's still up on smumustangs.com.

You've really got to question who's in charge at SMU with all these last-minute blackouts, blue-outs, white-outs. The TCU red-out made sense because it showed solidarity in a packed stadium, and I believe there was more advance warning for fans to prepare. The black-out, under the guise of "honoring the Armed Forces" was just idiotic.

I would have been proud to purchase a camouflage SMU T-shirt, with proceeds going to the Fallen Patriot Fund or similar organization. But of course that would have taken foresight and planning - and an actual marketing department.

I will show my support for the armed forces by praying for their safety. By picking out a couple of days (that's not much) during the year to greet incoming soldiers at D/FW airport. By anonymously picking up the tab for a couple of armed service personnel in a restaurant. By shaking the hand of uniformed military personnel and thanking them when I see them in public. By supporting school and community projects that benefit those on active duty or those who have suffered debilitating injuries in the line of duty. Wearing the opponent's colors is not being "supportive" - it is a cop-out.
