#20 Ryan Smith

Postby westexSMU » Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:05 am

I saw Ryan Smith at CB today and he did a pretty good job with Army's offense. Then again, he wasn't up against the usual talented wide outs today that he would see a lot of next year. Did he play CB in High School and what kind of speed does he have ? I remember he was a Rivals 3 Star DB recruit in 2008.

We were two CBs down (Moore and Thomas) and needed some experience at the corner. Smith makes a move in a three week period. Pretty good results too. Overall, the secondary did well with strong support on the run. That is what is needed against an option team.

I feel a bit better about the overall direction of this team with the ability to take kids from one position and move them to another in such a short period of time. Speaks well of the depth of talent we have to pull it off.
