Poor offense typical, no surprise

Postby couch 'em » Thu Dec 30, 2010 7:16 pm

I've been bashing the offense ever since conference play started. I pointed out that we have performed poorly against some truly bad Ds. I was attacked for it by koolaid drinkers like IPP. Once again, we lay an offensive egg against a D that we should crush. There are real problems. I hope it can be fixed with Padron because his poise and leadership qualities seem great, but I'm worried we may be switching to a new QB a few games in.

Is it still taboo to say the o went in the tank after the last sequence of the first half vs Navy?

At Navy, our right tackle, JT Brooks, was out with an ankle injury. We didn't have depth, and they discovered it in the second half and hammered us on that side the rest of the game. Every year we will get more depth. When we played TCU the last two years, they had so much depth that they could alternate players just to let the explosive players rest. Must be nice. :?

No not really John Wayne Gacy Jr.....it doesn't "take one to know one"
if someone admits they are one....which he did.

A clown may be able to get away with murder but you still can't get away from being called an A-Hole. ;)

You are on point. We had no depth at all this year. As one of the other posters stated, next year should be really exciting and 2012 could be a breakthrough year. I predicted 6-6 before the season, so 7-7 aint so bad in my book given what June had to work with. Maybe we can dispense with Kyle running to the sideline every play when we are down by two scores in the second half. That wasted clock time could have been valuable. But hey, the D looked good in the 2nd half and Kyle is a tough kid who is full of potential. I'm happy with our progress.
