The countdown begins- Predictions

Postby papawasamustang » Mon Jan 03, 2011 7:22 pm

The countdown on Doh's final 17 games as SMU men's HC begins Wednesday night.
What's the final 17 game record going to be? 0-17, 1-16? What do you think?

realtimerpi.com is more optimistic, they have us going 6-10 in conference play. If that happens I venture to say that he may be coaching the team next season.

Thanks for the interesting website. I noticed they aren't counting the big W's over McMurry & Dallas Christian. But I'm sure Doh is :)

2-15 or 3-14
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

2-16. Are u counting the cusa tournament game?

Like Matt Doherty is so righteous. He is like the neatest and bestest coach in the history of ever.

Three home wins vs. Houston, East Carolina, Rice.
3-13 in CUSA. Throw in a loss to Ole Miss and 1st round exit in the tourney, 3-15.
Probably not goodbye to Doh tho. He is the teflon coach - bad approval ratings never stick to him.

2-14 and we still retain Doh, unfortunately

Between SMU Football and the Houston Texans, I can't get rid of these horrible coaches. I think Orsini had subscribed to the jtstang theory of no expectations, no disappointment.

If Orsini doesn't get rid of Doh at the end of this season then he needs to be fired as well. :x
That charlatan of a coach has made our bball program an even greater embarrassment.
New coaches come in to other schools and almost immediately start winning programs while we continue to be lost in the desert.

GO PONIES!!!

Unfortunately low expectations are there for this team, due to academic casualties and not very good players this year. Doh has a like always a brighter day on the horizon. I think if he can win 1/3 of his conference games he stays this year. Don't we play 16 conference games. That would be 5 conference wins. I think that's not doable for this team. We have Tulane twice, Houston twice, Rice twice. Other than that, I don't see any team in our conference that this team can possibly beat. And those three are not going to be cupcakes either.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I hope they exceed their own expectations. Here's hoping that means they win more games than they lose...
