SMU castoff leads team in football title game at FriscoModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: SMU castoff leads team in football title game at FriscoBo wasn't the right fit to run the June Jones offense. That doesn't mean that he's a bad QB or anything.
Re: SMU castoff leads team in football title game at Friscothe problem is there are too many people that judge QBs around here by what they do as Freshman/Sophomores rather than what they might do as Juniors/Seniors. I'm seeing a whole bunch of experienced upperclassmen QBs leading the best teams in the country this year.

Develin is a walk away from Penn State. He was projected to be their QB this past season as a red shirt Frosh who finished HS early and enrolled for the second semester thereby giving him 2 spring training sessions and one year understudying a very successful senior. Instead he transferred to Delaware after getting mixed signal from the coaching staff regarding 2 incoming 2010 QBs.

The QB guru has spoken.

Good point. 80 and 90 yard drives are hard to finish off with tds. Turnover difference is critical to success.

You're right. I forgot the sage advise of 1,2,3,4.
Re: SMU castoff leads team in football title game at Frisco123 not 4 opens the door.
The basic idea behind the Run & Shoot is a flexible offense that adjusts "on the fly," as the receivers are free to adjust their routes as they are running them in response to the defensive coverage employed. The quarterback, as a result, also has to read and react to the defense's coverages in a more improvised manner than with other offensive systems. I've watched KP in about 12 practices, attended 14 or so game film lunches with JJ and others. And ofcoarse watched all of the games as you have. Some folks seem to think next year will be better for him with more experience . Based on improvising, accuracy, and length of time issues (12345)I believe he will not be the one to take SMU to the level we all want it to be at. Many people I know around the program feel the same way, just less vocal about it on the board.
