Don't get too excited. I love the win - but Memphis is NOT a very good basketball team. They are easily the 4th best team in the state of Tennessee and this should not be any indication that Doh has "turned the corner" or deserves some sort of contract extension.

Austin Peay should have beat Memphis a week ago - they ended up losing by 2 (and that would put Memphis as the 5th best team in the state).

I suspect that Vandy, Tennessee, Belmont, and Austin Peay will all be dancing and Memphis may be in the NIT at the end of the year. Of course SMU sure helped that cause last night!

Memphis of course could dance by winning the CUSA tournament. But this does hurt their regular season title chances to a degree.

Didn't get to watch the game. Was this win a product of Memphis playing poorly or SMU playing well? Or both?

SMU shot 50% from three. Memphis was 0-9 for free throws in the 2nd half. SMU had a 17-0 run where Memphis couldnt buy a basket. Memphis missed some easy shots, but SMU's D was about as good as I've seen in the last couple of years.

Still cant get over JFrog's two drives to the basket against McDonalds All-Americans, one of which was a great teardrop basket and the other which bounced off and was rebounded and put back by Mangrum
