Sure would be nice if Haynes could contribute just 5-10 pts a game.

Tell us about it...probably drives the coaches batty. No excuse for the ineptness of his FT's or O game...head case imo.

As to JFROG not getting more minutes:

In typical Doh! fashion, I heard him berate JFROG when he got yanked. He waited for JFrog to get seated and then got right in his face and yelled, "If you EVER do that again, I'll make sure you never see the court again." (or something very similar). I heard it clear as day because Doh berates his players by screaming, even when the place is silent. So, basically, Doh didn't put the better player on the court so that he could prove a point.

I have no problem with coaches being tough with their players. Players should be challenged. But, I think it's totally unacceptable to tear young men down like that in from of everyone. Watch--the players won't even look at him anymore; what does that tell you?! I used to have a man-crush on Doh, but I've become convinced that he's a cancer.

This team has good camaraderie, and seems to want to improve in SPITE of him. They do a good job boosting each other up--which is good, because we all know they're not going to get that very often from their coach.

SP is under wraps and will emerge when needed..lol.

Finally got the mods attention and gave me a new password PF.....if you lose your password or maybe need help with it, this site is not good about assisting. The mods are good, its the system and has to do with virus's, porn etc that attacks this board regularly. :-)

Doh is not a follower of the 'praise in public and berate in private' school of thought. Many coaches are like this though and the players just endure the coach and maybe sub-consciously work for the mans positive approval. Its not good to see sometimes, especially as Jfrog IS a real freshman and is depended to handle the ball so much in D-1 basketball...give him a break...he is entitled to make mistakes...I think he is playing well and will improve. He will be a good back up to Giles and if he learns to play like Barea on the Mavs, he could be a good spark plug off the bench in the future.

I hope you're right, ponyscott. I fear that's not the case. I am intrigued by all of the talent that's either here or is coming.

But I'm just convinced these players will not reach any level with Doherty here. I'll take your word for it that these two new assistants will make a difference. However, the buck stops on Doherty's desk.

And I don't like that at all.

seems like the mind game wacko...

- that Kansas State coach might be the worst. I guess some react well to the crazy Knight approach. Others not so much - JJ approach is complete oppopsite. Hardly saw Dickey even come out of his seat.

iPad stinks to type BTW

Not too smart to prove a point and jeopardize losing the game for your sake. WEAK
