Will Losh make a differnece tonight?Need the sage opinions of those better informed.
Will the addition to the lineup of Losh make a difference tonight? If so, in what capacities? How will he affect the offense and defense? Should we expect a type of newcomer's mistakes and turnovers? Any insight would be appreciated. Go Ponies!
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?i'm going to say he won't make much difference tonight. He's extremely talented, but he's also the type of kid that will defer, and that's when he's been practicing from Day 1. I expect him to move the ball, find the open man, and keep the O flowing. Beyond that, everything else is gravy in Game 1. If he jacks up 5 shots, I'd be surprised
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight? How about defense? Will he make a differnce there? Nothing against our current players but there seems to be to many uncontested 3s put up in the little action I have seen.
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?
Well, he has quite a bit more length than Frog/Walker/Clink etc. I'd think he'd help close out in the zone better, but I wouldn't think he'll be much of lock down man defender, especially early. Lateral foot speed was probably the number 1 concern coming in “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight? Thanks for the insight. Hope we play well tonight and get a win.
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?will Losh be playing the 2?
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?
I'd think. Making him handle vs quick guards, in his first game back, on the road, doesn't seem that wise. “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?that's going to be an improvement right there I would think...we go from a 5'11 (Clink or Walker) 2 at times to a 6'4 Losh

Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?Dare I say I'm actually intrigued with the idea of keeping up with the game tonight.
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight? We need scoring! -- I am hoping the coaches will make him take shots but I'm sure it will take time to get settled in. I'd prefer what I have seen from him over Walker. I hope Clinks keeps nailing from 3.
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?I'm sure he'll take shots in the flow, I just don't think you'll see him force much. Probably 3s, no dribble drive stuff. He immediately becomes one of our best passers, so if he just helps w/ball movement, some shooter will get a look.

Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?Somebody needs to be the consistent third option behind Dia and Nyakundi. Wouldn't we think the So. Miss game was just one of those days where everybody was hitting shots?
It's about night in and night out.

Aliaksei Patsevich, make sense to me. A junior transfer from Collin County...should fit right in to "Doh's system."
Re: Will Losh make a differnece tonight?
I think that's just what it's going to be this year. Honestly, I'd think the 3rd guy is currently our 3rd leading scorer, Clink. He's a kid that isn't scared, doesn't defer, and isn't afraid to launch. Pats is clearly a better player, but it's just asking an awful lot for the kid to come in w/11 games to play, after missing the first 2 months of practice. I'm sure he's up to speed w/the system etc, but Pats is the type of silent assassin that will thrive w/lots of talent around him. He's about floor game, not getting his. “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run.
