Frank Martin in trouble!

Postby PonyDoh » Mon Jan 31, 2011 8:52 pm

K-State team is in complete revolt. Wally Judge is transferring and Jacob Pullen is poking jabs at the staff. Meanwhile, Nick Russell is pretty much out as well. Know folks who are already recruiting Russell already. Big Gip should ask for his release and play at a level that suits him

Couldn't agree more about Gipson. I posted last week that I had included Russell on my transfer watch list after his 3rd DNP in row. BTW, Judge & Russell were roommates.

On top of it all, he doesn't have legit high level D1 credentials. He's just psycho whose time has come. Big Gip and Russell, you hear me

PonyDoh, what are SMU's chances with Russell?

Am I wrong to think that SMU was one of his finalists back in '09?

we were a finalist, but I'm not sure our status w/the kid. I wouldn't be surprised if Lutz at Creighton gets involved, although many consider him somewhat soft now that he's been somewhat exposed at the highest level. W/only 3 ships in '12, its no longer easy getting an SMU ride

Personally, I'd rather use our schollys on high school kids than Russell, especially because P-doh has been pumping up how '12 will be a big year for recruiting.

Talk about a kid that sounds like he's gone. I think the issue w/Russell is projected position, and what's lined up for '12. I'm not saying we're definitely going to do better, but some of our better prospects play roughly the same role Russell would. Bird in hand, though

they've had 3 kids transfer this season, w/two more on the way. Just this year, Martin has had 2 kids suspended for improper benefits, hit a kid etc. In the link, their best player says the players don't know what to do after timeouts etc. Its about as much a revolt as there is in CBB right now
