Really hoping for a better turnout, this team deserves it.

Given the weather , that was one of the better turnouts if the season. Moody got loud and was a fun place to be.

I could be way off, but isn't 5 conference wins the most since Doh has been here?

Just back from the game and I agree, the students were awesome and the crowd was really nice considering how the roads were. Moody got loud and electric during the the last 5 minutes. When SMU had it locked up, Dia and Rob were running around thumping their chests to the crowd.

Then at the end, Doh led the whole team in some awesome get down dancing at half court.

For as frustrating as the first 35 minutes were, it was great fun the last 5.

Great Job Mustangs!
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

I guess I had already removed all previous years from my memory.

This is a blast! Bring on the Wave !!
I'm pretty sure we were 7-9 in CUSA play last year.

Did anyone catch Doh reaching past the bench players to give a fist bump to one of the students standing behind SMU during play in the first half? Not something you see every game.

after a Papa rejection..that was nice. Later on Papa tried to send another one upstairs and whiffed..I was worried he may have injured himself as hard as he came down

Doh's antics make me laugh when directed at opposing coaches, fans etc. Even when he's trying to fire our kids and fans up. He's just had a history of being erratic(being nice) in his treatment of our players.

he was high-fiving old ladies, toddlers, bandies, you name it-anyone who wasnt securely fashioned-right before varsity.

Watching this thing you really get the idea sometimes Doh must call a timeout and think omgomgomgwtf am I gonna do...then turns around, sees Hobbie and Mangino, who have some kind of effect on him

there is this great picture from the Memphis game of our bench going nuts, including Doh & Hobbie, all the ineligibles etc. The only one sitting down was Mangino, face buried in notes like a mad chemist or something.

I have to see that.

One of these days I could completely see one of our guys hitting a shot or something and watch Doh go Homer Simpson on an opposing coach/player "in your FACE! woo hoo!"

I think it's fascinating that we're watching a single figure literally watch his career be salvaged right before our eyes. If Doherty bombed here, would he ever get another head coaching gig outside of a YMCA club? Probably not.

Yes, he was going to get a pass for this year no matter the results, but he knows he has about 365 days to produce otherwise he is more than likely gone, never to be a head man again. Love him or hate him and all of his baggage, but game by game we're watching him react to his professional career being saved. That's really cool to watch in and of itself.
