One more interesting note...Boise signed 20 guys who have a total of 43 offers (per rivals). Combined the class has 19 BCS offers and 12 of those are from 2 players.

I read an article awhile back where Yenga gave an interview and stated that he ultimately did not have an offer from Oklahoma State. I'm not sure if the offer was pulled or he never got one. Look I hate TCU as much or more than most of you. I was on the 97 team that lost to the 0-10 TCU team and missed the Independence Bowl invite. But we need to back off RF. He wasn't gloating. He just passed n information. I've seen some of us make the same analysis on Rivals and Scout and it is always well received.

It's quite fasinating that one post gets some folks fired up and others scratching their heads wondering what the fuss was about.

Nice to beat out some BCS programs for these kids. Big change from a few years ago when we basically got toaster leavings.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

How long before we can beat some of these AQ schools? I think we could have beat Baylor in 2011...

RF is a good poster, I don't mind his imput and he does not gloat the success of TCU.

And there you have the fundamental, but not only, flaw in the argument that SMU 1980-1984/1985 was "the Boise State of the 80's." I know I'm getting pissy over old, sour grapes but it's still irritating as hell. Boise cleans up with a bunch of scrubs and gimmicks. Nothing wrong with that, but SMU was cleaning house on the recruiting trail pulling in blue chip after blue chip. We were paying, obviously, but still landing the best recruiting classes in the entire country. The idea of trying to link those two is staggeringly idiotic.

There my rant is over.

Hey dubs...I also played in that game in '97. Interesting to think about how the last 13 years or so would have different had SMU won that game.

I doubt things would have been any different because Caven was a joke. In my opinion, Cavan's pride got in the way of us winning that game. But that is the past. SMU is on the right track now and I expect the team to win a lot of games in the next few years.

Well you would know with regards to Cavan. I really do hope SMU is on the right track....would make for some exciting games in the metroplex.
