Re: 2011 Official Football ScheduleWith 17-18 starters back including a qb with experience and a veteran offensive line and rb, all we need is to avoid the injury bug and fill in a couple spots on offense and defense and maybe improve our depth......these are all winnable games! Why not? Providing the team chemistry and work ethic step up along with the coaching!
Re: 2011 Official Football ScheduleNorthwestern plays LSU the week before us. Hopefully they can soften them up a bit.

Re: 2011 Official Football ScheduleWe will be at S. Miss for their homecoming, and they have an open date before us. Panic!

From the SMU website:
Maybe ONE of these days, they will get some athletics-related thing correct on the SMU site. I don't seem to remember Houston being that close to a shared West Division title this year...
Re: 2011 Official Football Schedule
I think it means that Houston won the West last year, and SMU this year.
Re: 2011 Official Football Schedule
If that's what they meant, then they did a horrible job of wording it. But I doubt that's what they meant. Everything related to the athletics department on SMU's website is just awful. From the "Mustangs stomp the Rebels" classic to the fact that on the front page of the SMU website, TWO days after SMU lost to UTEP, there is still the headline of the five game win streak.
Re: 2011 Official Football ScheduleAll I know is that we are probably going to need to beat Houston in 2011 to improve on last year's regular season record. I see no reason an improved team can't go 8-4 next year
