Burger wars, re-visitedNever eat 'merican food in Mexico.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedI was going to try Burger Street on Mockingbird last night but I heard there was a dead guy in a car in the drive-thru lane. I hate it when that happens.

Re: Burger wars, re-visitedThat location is going to be nuts. That Chick-Fila is packed all time and it's right next to that. The owner of that Chick-Fila must be doing pretty well. (and Inwood too).
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedodd place to find a surprisingly great burger, but the french place at Knox and KT trail, Toulouse, came through. brioche bun, pancetta, avocado, prime beef, and a dijonaisse. I was impressed.

Re: Burger wars, re-visited
man, hope they don't have a line wrapped around the building and stretching down the access road. I could almost see that happening
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedYou will see that happening. It is going to be crazy when they open. they better do something very smart with the ingress/egress.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedBy the way, I had a great burger in Houston this past weekend. It is downtown and called Hubcap burger. Very good burger. Don't get the Chili. My father in law tried it and he said he would not get it again.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedWas in Reno this past Sunday night, I had been skiing up in Tahoe, after playing blackjack for a few hours I headed out to the "Little Nugget Diner". I was told they had a really good hamburger called, "The Awful Awful". Stands for Awful big, Awful good. It was one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. This place is a dump, a hole in the wall and has been around for many decades. Appearantly the Awful, Awful, is very famous in that part of the world and has been featured on the Food Channel, Travel Channel, etc several times. If you are in Reno for whatever reason I would suggest you swing by the "Little Nugget Diner" and try one.
Two Thumbs up for the Awful, Awful!!!! ![]() ![]() GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Burger wars, re-visiteddisliked it so much you're having it again?
Burger wars, re-visitedThat and a fish cocktail lol
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedI had a point burger last night. It was okay.
This is coming out in the new D magazine http://dmagazine.com/Home/D_Magazine/20 ... _Food.aspx I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: Burger wars, re-visited
Read it last night - that family has been through a lot, surprised it is thriving. Their meat hub has to be within a certain distance of the restaurants. We might see these pop up in LA and NM soon. The *craze* as some put it has to do with fresh ingredients and quality compared to the other fast food joints. Don't go comparing their burger to non-fast food places.

Yes! The Awful Awful! I ate that in Reno several times. Discovered it by pure chance. I'm sure it took a few weeks or months off my life span! "I think Couchem is right."
