Jacksonville played full court press against East Carolina the entire game. I hope we're ready to break the press.

Just be warned, this Jacksonville team won in the Gator's gym, and the Gators were ranked at the time. This would be a nice scalp for SMU.

Then it WILL be ugly as last night SMU had 16 TO's against NO pressure from ORU and the last 5 games from SMU has witnessed many turnovers so Jfrog better get his 'A' game in order as he will be bringing it up all day. I don't believe we had a FC pressure team all year, so this will be interesting.

Frog's handle was loose last night. Gonna need help from Haynes/Nyakundi w/the press.

Jacksonville is pretty damn good, saw them once this year and was quite impressed w/team speed. Chris Warren is a great coach that will have a high mid job before long.

Like I said in the game thread, Aloys Cabbell, their frosh back-up PG, is a kid we looked at for Frogs ship. Gotta break the press and make them pay w/open 3s, when they back off, control tempo

Haynes makes me nervous when he brings the ball down. However, he did have a great game last night. Just no pressure.

What's irritating is that some of these turnovers are self-inflicted. For instance, in the second half, Samarippas penetrates and whips a pass to the wing to Harp. Harp apparently wasn't ready for it and it goes off his hands out of bounds.

BTW, I do like the movement and cutting in the offense. It does create a lot of looks. But my one-time in person impression was that we pass up some better looks and leave some offense off the scoreboard. In the first half, Samarippas has an uncontested drive to the basket for an easy layup and kicks the pass to the corner for a 3-pointer that was missed. He has to see that. There was a big there but Jeremiah already won the race to the basket and would have had no problem flipping the ball off the glass. Ironically, he appeared to use the same play for the go-ahead layup in overtime.

I'm sure I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like this offense can consistently create the open 10-12-foot jumper in the lane. I love that shot. The Morrison kid at ORU was very good at that.

Again, this is my impression after seeing my first game in person.

I agree. JFrog had a few passes that players weren't ready for. They were beautifully executed, but I don't think his teammates anticipate the pass well.

JFROG never should of passed that. He needs to gain some confidence and take that to the hoop. I have seen him do it before. He will start generating some buckets instead of kicking it out all the time and turning it over.
