I pray that the players don't focus as much on uniforms as people on this board do. Get a quality product on the field and it doesn't matter what they wear. Uniform discussions seem petty but then again we don't have much better to talk about until fall so why should I care.

Plus, once they put them on, we have no impact on the outcome.

I'm a big fan of the stripes. Glad they kept that feature. Also a fan of the white socks. You could take the "SMU" off the jersey - the red Pony says it all.

I'm going to dare to be different when I say I'm going to actually wait and see what the FINISHED product is when the school announces ANY uniform change. Do we even know that there is an actual change coming?

I hear they're going with that new tight fitting jersey look. Pony Up!

The late George Carlin had a routine about fans becoming annoyingly passionate over school colors, which sums it up for me.

It went something like this:

"When you're at your school, your fans will scream, WE HAVE TO FIGHT FOR THE CARDINAL AND GOLD. FIGHT FOR THE CARDINAL AND GOLD....

"It's [deleted] -ing red and yellow, man. [deleted] -ing red and yellow.''


We're SMU and our colors our Red and Blue. I could care less what kind of blue and what kind of red it actually is.

4. White Socks. Thank the Good LORD!!!

5. Black shoes. OK but "white" 80's-style would be great, too.

6. Red Jersey. Too bad not school color - crimson.
