Re: Moody Coliseum Renovation Press ReleaseBest R.E.M. song ever, in my humble opinion, was Don't Go Back to Rockville. Best album: Murmur.

Totally agree on album. Derail the Frogs!
Re: Moody Coliseum Renovation Press Releaselooks pretty good; any word on seating capacity?
Re: Moody Coliseum Renovation Press Release
Agree on both. I saw REM when the toured for Murmur at some small bar called Charlies I think. There was only about 50 people there. I spoke to Peter Buck when we were both using the facilities. great show. Was also at the Bronco Bowl and the Moody shows. Loved me some REM. Re: Moody Coliseum Renovation Press ReleaseGreat story. Where was Charlies?
I liked the Moody show ok, I guess. That was sort of a heavier guitar phase for them and the lighting during the show was wierd -- I think they had the house lights on the whole time. And Stipe was not just his normal unintelligible, he was slurring his slurred words.
Re: Moody Coliseum Renovation Press ReleaseIn the mid-sixties, The Righteous Brothers. It appears the sounds got heavier.

Re: Moody Coliseum Renovation Press ReleaseInteresting that they listed the Jimi Hendrix 8/68 concert...I have a copy of that boot leg. I appreciate all the stories of great concerts held at Moody, however, IMO the best concert ever held at SMU was 11/70 at McFarlin Auditorium by Derek and the Dominos. Sat on the South end of the stage by entering into the auditorium via the underground ducts of SMU's HVAC system.
