I would say yes based on his size and he looked pretty good in the highlights I saw. Always need big bodied recievers. This roster doesn't have a whole bunch of em.

Don't forget to factor in the difficulty in learning this offense.

Looks like Austin Fuller to SMU. If he is admitted to the school he will walk on in the fall. This appears like a no lose situation for us.

Although not run nearly as professionally as do we ours, the NTSU WDNWHA Committee put a nice spin on this situation.

Interesting comment about big-bodied WRs. Why? Aren't most of the best WRs who have been coached by June Jones on the smaller side? I'm a fan of Brad Haynes and Pat Fleming, and I think Keenan Holman is going to be a star, but even he doesn't look like someone who will get to be as thick as this guy. You look at guys like Cole Beasley, Darius Johnson, Davone Bess, etc. - not the biggest guys in the world, right?

Big WRs that can run are almost as rare as top NG/DT. Not enough to go around. You can't afford to sacrifice speed because the slow tall WRs can't get open. Therefore you go smaller at Outside Receiver rather than Tall and Slow when the pickins get slim. The shorter Inside Receivers are a natural fit for the Run and Shoot so you don't need much height there to excell.

Ashley Lelie was 6'3", 195-pounds and was an amazing player in JJ's offense...and became a first-round NFL draft pick (19th overall). I think he was either not rated or rated a 2-star recruit out of high school.

Not rated...walk-on. 1700 yards and 19TDs his junior All-American season
