Assistant coaches
Isn't the staff supposed to be announced today? Or this week? Any word on who the assistant coaches will be, and when they can begin recruiting?

Word on the street is that the assistant coaches are, and have been, recruiting.
As for when they're actually going to make the announcements, I've been waiting on that for over a week now. Anybody have an update??

Re: Assistant coaches
My rumor mill source says mid-week. (That could be anytime between Tuesday morning and Thursday evening. How's that for zeroing in?)

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Re: Assistant coaches
What do you think about the new assistants? Does the ULL passing game come to SMU or does the offense going to reflect Coach Bennett? IMO, it will be a spread with a run/throw option...KState system. If it is, the QBs have the most changing to do for 2002. It will be an interesting Spring.
If you have any info, let us know.

I like the Edmondson hire, especially if their QB, Van Cleave, follows him to Dallas. Don't know if it will happen, though.

Re: Assistant coaches
Isn't Bennett supposed to be a secondary expert -- even though he was a defensive lineman?
