Mexican food warsAt bandito's for the first time. House marg tastes good, and the salsa is good and spicy. And just heard two REK songs in a row.
Liking it so far. Derail the Frogs!
Re: Mexican food warsI'm telling you. Good place.
How did it end up?
Re: Mexican food wars
Had the three enchiladas for lunch. Very tasty! Washed that down with two more margs. Have to say that I'm adding it to the rotation. Great rec from all of you who championed it. Derail the Frogs!
Re: Mexican food wars
Outstanding, Junior! They catered my HS reunion party last year, very impressed. Visited the place last fall after a SMU game and really enjoyed the food. GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Mexican food warsLa Familia on Foch St. in the Montgomery Plaza area is better than any mexican food I've eaten in Dallas. Really top-notch place if you like to try out new venues.
Mexican food warsFound my new favorite taqueria. It is called El Tizoncito and is on Forest just east of Webb Chapel. It is clean, good food, and cold beer.
I recommend the Parrillada Tizoncito which is basically one of each taco and a quesadilla. Goes down well with a Michelada. "This is . . . dedication to distraction by fans. Is that what I'm going to go with Jay?"

Re: Mexican food warsOk, totally dumb question. But what exactly is a taqueria? Can you sit down -- or is it just a "to go" proposition? Do gringos feel comfortable going to one?
