Hail to the Red and the Blue. S...........M............U Moody Madness
Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacement"Plus, if the Big 12 can hang together without Texas A&M -- and it appears it can -- then the state might get another bonus if Houston or SMU gets an invitation to college football's grown-up table."

Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacementgreat to finnaly see our named mentioned.I just cant get why they would even consider UH that campus is a dumpster they dont have any fans in Houston i would bet my last dallor UT already has 3 times the fans in Houston than UH
Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacementBranch is an SMU alum, so you'd hope he would sneak our name in there.
SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacement
Is it your assertion that UT doesn't have 3 times as many fans as everyone in every city except A&M? "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacement
Leo Berman is a member of the cmte and he is also an SMU alum
Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacementShould we be e-mailing these guys...
Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacementUT might not have 3 times the fans that A&M does but its real close to double their fans.I can`t walk are drive ten feet in this town with out seeing something covered in burnt orange. And lets be honest no one cares about UH here
Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacementA small point is that the Longhorn Network may increase the appeal of a SMU going the conference, if UT wants to have one of their Big12 game broadcast on their network. SMU would make sense as a conference and in-state option. Rice would be the other, as a non-conference game.
Pony Up
Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacementlooks like Berman is no longer on the Higher Ed committee..current members are mostly UT folks other than Branch.
Re: SI mentions SMU as possible Big XII replacementCan you imagine the gnashing of teeth in Fort Worth were this to happen?
