A great article to read but such a sad tale of a man consumed by football at the expense of those things and people which are supposed to be most important in a persons life. It is easy to understand how so many coaches and people in the profession lose their ethical value at the cost of winning and/or keeping their jobs. Interesting to note that one of the primary money boosters behind the problems with paying players and getting TCU on probation is now welcomed with open arms and allowed to be around the players since he hit it big in the oil business again and is funneling money again to the university to build better facilities and hire and keep better coaches. Have they no shame? Must be their christian values.

Oh...I can't believe they didn't mention his "man of th year" or citizen of the year award. Evidently the only requirement is to win football games to get this award. I wonder if they showed him throwing the "f-bombs and god---- around at the banquet with members of his three families in the audience.Rpresentatives at a university such as TCU or Kelly at ND use language like that... what does it tell our youth? bad language is ok a guy to do what you want? It is filtering down to our high schools and pewee leagues now. Sad times in America where everything is ok!

Pony fans that are "avid frog supporters"? You would throw that mythical group into discussions with unicorns and big foot.

I am an avid TCU supporter. Because my brother and about 5 of my best high school friends went there. Plus have had 2 girlfriends there. So I have been to a lot of TCU games. And they actually were winning when we were not so it was fun. Although for some reason I found myself really rooting against them when they played Boise. I have never been a bandwagon fan before, but for some reason I have been on the Boise bandwagon since the 07 Fiesta bowl. But yes, when SMU plays TCU I hate TCU. I route for any team in Texas , with the exception of UT. As do most SWC fans that did not go to UT, I route for any team that plays them. Plus I could care less about UTEP and NTSU . And while I am at it, I am a Tivy High school fan since thats where I went to High SChool.
