its a new day, SMU and others are gonna have to take chances and be creative. don't worry, other schools with womens volleyball in the region will stil schedule our women for games. Remember you are the guy who said the exact same stuff about TCU going Big East.

Wouldnt be a commitment to be a fill in game and possible easy win for excellent BCS teams that want to play in the 5th biggest city and recruiting hotbed...take the money they will pay and build a program till they wont play you anymore....then figure out a way in....
These super conferences arent in it for the long haul....too many middle tier teams, will not want to sacrifice for the benefit of very little extra money...think 9:00 a games just so you can be on TV, it wont last. At some point the marginal rate of adding another team will not be enough and at some point will turn negative...

all options should be on the table, including indy. Might have to go indy for a transition period. Better than sitting in a dead end league with Rice and Tulane just for scheduling convenience if CUSA gets cherry picked (ie Houston bolts for BE).

All good points and I hope you're right Nick. However, if the 64 team superconference teams do not expand and we are not a part of that group, where will we be? Will schools like Rice, Tulane, San Diego State, San Jose State, etc be forced to face the facts? I agree that lawsuits galore will follow.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I still don't see a bright future in an AQ conference. More likely a watered down Sun Belt or CUSA.

However it plays out...there are going to be good programs left out...band together and start beating them consistently...make an argument for yourself...

As I have said on here before and many other recently have posted, I don't think they will stop at 64. They may like to too, but it will be much easier for them to go to 5 conferences and avoid the law suits. At that time, if we don't get in. Bring on UNT!

I highly doubt it's 80, but I hope that is the case too.
