Then I took up Blues Harp which I now play with a local blues band. Is there room for a blues harp in the alumni Band on the Blvd I wonder? :)

What you really need to do is to bring the banjo and we'll find ol Ed Bernet(former SMU football star) and get you guys to do some dueling banjos. haha Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Done after the '98 football season...

Had to focus more on my filmmaking (tough choice), it paid off, as the film I made my sophomore year played nationally on PBS (as well as playing in NY, LA, Paris, London, Toronto, Chicago, NO, Austin, and of course many places in big D). That film is called The Dreamer (a science fiction film), and it is available at Premiere Video on Mockingbird, also I believe they have a copy at the Library on campus.

Went on to make a number of other shorts during my tenure at Southern Methodist, probably the most popular (and my final short) was this one-

Fish Don't Wear Clothes

Currently I am finishing my first feature, shot over three years ago now. It's been a tough climb.

Leaving the band was something I would have never fathomed when I was young. I grew up idolizing, not only the SMU football team, but also the Mustang Band. I will always fondly remember my days in the band.

It is hosted on a buddy of mine's website. He also stars.

Yes, the Cell Block 7 had guys like Ed,Tommy,TAM Mott and Steve Mcdermott(who plays with the alumni band on occassion). I don't know Ed too well, but I know of his playing ability. Tommy,TAM and Peyton are different because my dad used to play in the Upper Dallas Jazz Band back in the late 70s through the end of the band in the 80s. Tommy was my mentor. He gave my first horn when I was 13. It's still the only horn I play. It was a sad day when he left us.

Oh you might have to be more explicit than that for the range of alums you're talkin' to so far... Heck, even calling her Big Mama might not even explain it :)
