Padron had a great game today

Postby ThadFilms » Sat Sep 24, 2011 3:38 pm

No turnovers. Looked good. But, it was nice to see JJ McD get to go out there for for the victory formation.

TV announcers talked about what a great attitude Kyle has maintained; determined to work hard and earn the starting job back when his opportunity comes

unfortunately doesn't look like kyle's going to get any serious PT anytime soon...

Unless of course JJMcD throws a pick in his first series against TCU. He may never get to start another game then.

backup QB is always one play away from playing; I'm glad we have an experienced one. We saw what happens to a true FR today

I am, of course, joking. I'm a KP fan.

At this point, I'll let our W-L record determine who the starter should be. McD did some things well today, and needs to work on others. This is what, his 4th college start ever? Well, I'll take it because we won 42 TO FREAKIN' NOTHIN'! Go Ponies! Go McD!

I just hope his leash is equally as short as KPs. We'll see what happens if/when tcu forces him to make mistakes...

So how short of a leash will McD be kept on this next stretch of games? Will he be allowed to falter against TCU with multiple picks or will KP get put back in?

There is already evidence the leash is not as short as MCD has already thrown some really bad INT's and he has remained in the game.

BS, Kyle had four games and a bowl loss for a leash! Let's keep it in perspective.

Both have shown themselves to not be very good in recent performances. KP will be here next year and most likely the starter again. Makes more sense to stick with KP since we are basically picking between two mediocre QBs at this point. KP has at least shown glimpses of higher level play. McD is what you see is what you get and will be gone at the end of this year. I get the sense JJ has given up any hope of improving KP.
