I believe it was $53 mil.

$42 mil according to most online sources. (My 30mil guess was the number GJF donated, I think)

Tells you a lot about the rise of construction costs, plus the increase in stadium amenities since then.

NickSMU17,
I thought the final number was around the 60-70 million mark, I do not rely on Wikipedia to be the most accurate source.

I've never heard 42 Million. I heard 52 Million plus the additions to the Coaches/Learning Center area.

Here's a 2000 article that says 57 Million for both

SMU says 60 Million. I think this 42 Million number was a projection based on initial construction plans by Ellerbe Beckett

Yep, you'll have to wade through water to get to the field. Probably name the stadium 'holy mackrel'.

Unemployment by State numbers by itself can be very misleading, you need to also factor in job creation by state (i.e. Texas unemployment remains high as people from the NE and Rust Belt move here looking for work).

Texas is actually doing pretty well, especially when compared to California, but for the most part, these new jobs created in Texas are low-paying....get use to it America, this is the 'new normal'.
