Drive to Ft. Worth

Postby Dutch » Thu Sep 29, 2011 1:04 pm

I'd highly recommend anyone going to the game take 183. Razorback v. Aggie game is at 11:00 at Jonestown, and since the Rangers got home field, they are playing at 4:00. I-30 is going to be a mess.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Also, it is easier to take the Forest Park exit off of I-30 and to avoid University Drive. Head south on Forest Park and when you get to the fork in the road go right and follow it until you hit Berry. You can park at Paschal High School and take the shuttle. It's cheaper and easier to go that way. See you at the game.

I hope that you have a fun time in my town of Fort Worth. Go Ponies.

I thought I heard on Ch. 4 this morning the Rangers were playing at 4:00 on Friday and then Sunday-has that changed.

Either it has changed, or you heard wrong or they were wrong on Ch. 4.

If you live north, take 635 to 121 South. Follow all the way to downtown where you can get on 30 west to University or take 35 south to Berry street and head West to the campus.

And I recommend the chili con carne and cheddar cheese omellete or the German pancakes at the Ol' South pancake house on University Blvd.

Ol' south is IHOP or Denny's repackaged. I recommend to stay away.

Thanks for the tip Sewanee. I think after our traditional pre-game meal at Joe T's we may catch the free shuttle. How often does the shuttle run and where does the shuttle drop you off?

I was thinking the same thing. Forget sitting in traffic with the rest of the schmucks. Just point and laugh as you fly over. But where do you land? I don't want to walk real far.

The shuttle runs frequently before and after the game (every 5-10 minutes) at the Paschal High School Parking Lot. After the game they busses leave as soon as they are mostly full, again every 5-10 minutes.

From Joe T's you can head south on Main st, hang a right at the courthouse, and then follow the signs to Forest Park Blvd. Forest Park Blvd will wind along the river, cross I-30, and eventually lead you directly to the Paschal High School Parking Lot. You should be able to avoid some of the game traffic.

Have fun at Joe T's
