Sign of Improvement

After many fruitless attempts to win in overtime, SMU has won its last two OT games. Both were on the road and both were very big games. Once we could count on a valiant and futile OT performance. Now we are winning in key, high pressure situation. Differently a sign of an improved team.

And the last time we were ranked in the AP was during the 1986 season. With another couple of wins, we could break that 25 year streak as well.

And very few of us expected or felt that 4-1at this point was possible. Now the future has some very intriguing possibilities.

Great points. Now we got to build on it against UCF. Got to find a way to win that one to keep the momentum going.

If we beat UCF I wouldn't be surprised to see us in the top 25.

The aggies coughing up games isn't helping us out, but still I think we have a legit shot at top 25 if we knock off UCF.

When we beat UCF, the ranking should follow. There is an old saying if you are going to lose, lose early. We dropped our week 1 game and have gone undefeated since that is a good sign to the voters. Depending on how next week plays out, we gather more votes while we sit at home and rest!!!!

As JJ said, we may have had a tougher schedule than Houston because of who and where we drew (So. Miss/UCF Houston and Tulsa on the road) but this BYE week came at absolutely the right time of the year!

Yes, WHEN we beat ucf, and the rest! While I am still in the afterglow of the tcu win, I also looked back at the opponents we face. All are beatable. We can win. Signs of improvement all over the team. Coach Ganz has been taking hits on this board. Well, as in JJ's post game interview, it was coach who saw an opportunity for our kickoff team. The o line hung in there and kept the d line at bay for most the game. Nice adjustments by the WRs. Good rotation on our front line on D. Crawford got picked on early and often, but never gave up. DJ came out and displayed the Truth. Along the sideline was a team that just seem to gel and support one another like never before.

Get healthy and ready SMU. BCS bowl, not this year, but...
