TCU Stadium Announcer

Postby Duke Blue Blood » Sun Oct 02, 2011 4:19 pm

I could barely understand what the guy was saying and he sounded very "fake". It was NOT a sound system issue either, those guys had it cranked up!

I noticed this as well. Glad to see their gameday production is as clown college as ours at Ford Stadium.

That guy made Third down thunder sound professional by comparison.

At least he never suggested that we "run to get some nachos" after the play call.

Our announcer is way worse than the TCU dude. I will take fake over idiot any day of the week. We should seriously consider replacing our man with the "Boom Goes the Dynamite Kid". At least he would be entertaining.

Some of the SMU guy's highlights this season:

"And the kick is complete...", as well as being off by 10 yards on ball placement after a penalty. This is the just the stuff I noticed/remember after Mestango's lemonade (and I don't know anything about football).

It was so bad at the last home game that we were joking he should have called the play, "And McDermott's pass is complete to McDermott" when he ran with the ball.

I met him in the press box. Interesting ... I think. His voice doesn't sound too different in casual conversation.

Sounded like a 1940's boxing announcer.
