I actually don't think we're all that attractive to the Big East anymore. We're probably going to have to look into a merger, or we're screwed.

It's going to be a merger in the sense that there are only going to be 6 teams left in the Big East and that SEC opening still looms, and the Big XII possibly adding even more - heck, if the 14 school format works, then the Big 10 WILL follow suit in a few years, they are just taking their time to see the result. The Big East is going to have to bring in a number of teams to keep it's BCS status, and since there are no Rose Bowl champs available to bail them out they might be forced to try to bring in numbers.

It's going to be very interesting seeing how they work a need for a number of schools with a cap from the basketball schools.
