GO PONIES!!!

Come on, redpony...we all know that SO has done some things good (find a way to get the school to be serious about football again, get the Crum Center built, etc.) and some things not so good (McClements certainly does not look like a suitable replacement for Hyndman). No matter how much you dislike the guy, though, it's not in good taste to make jokes about "a hanging tree."

If we get into an AQ conference after all of this, SO could hire Casey Anthony to coach our soccer team and I wouldn't care

Not at all. We've made giant strides, but:
1) We're still a long way from where we need to be (i.e. We're far behind many of our competitors in terms of facilities and support of our student-athletes).
2) I think people tend to give too much credit the current leadership of the athletics department because they are now seeing the fruition of the work that was started years ago. People don't realize or remember the contributions of those who started turning this thing around years ago because there wasn't much of anything tangible to look at and say, "Gee, look at this great new facility or great young recruiting class."

Steve Orsini's biggest accomplishment as an AD was to get hired here in the ffirst place.

Bob Beaudine (Mr. "Your Got Who") really got it wrong by pushing for an accounrant. Bad choice!

Beaudine and Orsini convinced SMU that Steve O had skills that he simply did not have, and now it is becoming obvous tha Orsini was the wrong choice.

He's done nothing ,,, Abd makes more $$$ than any coach in te hisory non- AQ foorball

He pays coaches like he is Texas or Michigan or Alabama. But doesn't do anything to generate revenue to pay them (see UT, Michigan attendance).

JJ and Doe are two of the highest paid coaches in America - but we play in an irrelevant conference and, unfortunately, we draw about 17,000 in the turnstiles for fb and 340 for basketball.

That is Division II level.

And we have the guy who should oversee game stats as our Marketing Deparment

Juar arop rhw insanity and get rid of the beancounter!

We need a real AD to compete - or even get to a real conference to compete
