SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionGood question: if I am Turner and Orsini, I would be telling SEC that we are expanding Ford to 50+ immediately for their Lone Star alumni and traveling fans, especially in LA, AR, MS, TN and AL. Great road trip and media market for their brand. Dallas is a destination!

Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western Division[
I agree with those who say that this as a huge long shot, but I agree with you that the SEC would greatly benefit itself to establish a full time presence in Dallas. And I think a lot of casual football fans would come be interested in our games if we become competitive in what is inarguably the best conference in the country. TAMU brings some interest to the table here, but they will probably only play one game a year at Jerryworld. And having SMU on the schedule will let all of the SEC teams tell DFW recurits that they will have a chance to play in front of the hometown fans.
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionLook, right now its getting close to last call. Do we go home with the first chick who says yes, or do we wait for the hot looking chick across the room who has been turning down guys all night.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionFirst chick that says yes. That's always been my philosophy.
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western Division
percentage wise, they are the most fun
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western Division
My philosophy is you go for the hot chick first, and make sure she says yes. * my philosophy does not assume a high level of efficacy *

Go ugly early - Big East. An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and
doesn't care who wins. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionWait until one of them breaks out the kneepads and then decide.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionWell as it stands now we're going home with the chick with a weird face who's probably about to put on a lot of weight and looks bad naked. And she's poor.
The other chick has been giving us the eye and laughing at our jokes and we've maybe even taken a shot together- she's a little pudgy but shes got a cute face, great cans, and a personality that isn't completely terrible. Oh and she for sure puts out- you know because she got freaky with your loser neighbor who happens to have just gotten a legit job last weekend. Over in the other corner we have the perfect ten- long blonde hair, rocking [deleted], [deleted] has its own area code- the whole nine yards. She's rich and down for anything. Like eight guys are surrounding her right now, she's totally out of your league, but you think you just might have made eye contact with her--or maybe she just caught you staring at her. Whatever. What do you do?
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionSomething about the East Coast makes us think that way.

Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western Division
Is it the abundance of unattractive women? [deleted], I'm typically happy to go home with the first girl I described.
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionAlways go for the hot chick. and if you strike out, head to the strip club (go independent)

Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western Division"East Coast Girls are hip I really dig those styles they wear
And the Southern Girls with the way they talk, they knock me out when I'm down there The Midwest Farmers' daughters really make you feel alright..." It's not a matter of ugly.... especially after a few beers.
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionSEC needs to settle on their 14th member for the rest of this to fall out.
Don't rule out Clemson, Va Tech or FSU before all is said and done. I've read that SC has no objection to Clemson coming in and while Clemson "fits" the SEC profile, they don't expand the TV market (other than the fact they have several graduates living in the northeast)
Re: SMU *Tentative* to Big East's Western DivisionWe're reportedly on the cusp of getting a bid to a BCS conference (BE) and there continues to be a decent number of people talking about waiting for the SEC to come calling???? Really?
