Why the anxiety. There are those that are crazy enough on here that think we should shoot down an invite to the BE to remain in the CUSA and pray for a merger with MWC or an invite from the SEC, ACC, PAC12, etc.

We've been listed ahead of UH in several places. Which means if things happen as many respectable sources are saying UH would be the one left behind, not us. I think they have more to worry about. If we are out so are they. IMO

Only interesting part was Navy was in discussions prior to the most recent exodus.

There is still one more dance that has yet to happen. Remember what June Jones said, ultimately its headed to four 16 team conferences. That is the dance card that we have to be on. If we get left off by the BE, bad, but not fatal. Why? The SEC still has three places at the table. The Big Ten 4 seats. The PAC 12, four seats and the ACC two seats. Note that the Big XII is left out. Note that the BE is left out. So, there are 22 teams for those 13 seats plus all of CUSA, MWC, MAC and SBC. If Houston and UCF defect, we have a chance to win CUSA year after year for the next five years and perhaps with good scheduling get a few undefeated seasons in there and pull a Boise and be in BCS games every year. So, when the music stops and those 22 teams start running for the chairs, we'll be a perennial top 25 team. Boise may not be at that point. UConn, Rutgers, and Louisville may not be there at that point. KU, KSU, Missouri, Iowa State, TT, Baylor, TCU may not be. In other words, we'll have a better resume than some BCS teams and might be able to get an invite. I hope that we go Big East with Houston. That would be great for both programs.
