They don't check your pockets - just sayin. While they were digging through my purse looking for contraband, my kid made it in with 2 Dr. Peppers in his pockets and my water bottle tucked under his waistband. He looked ridiculous. We were joking that there was no way he would make it in .

I don't know what gate you guys are using buy I never have a problem getting back in. Ever. And I never have a problem with a flask in my front pocket of my shorts. And not a little nip flask either.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

The gate nazi's yesterday were extremely into the no re-entry reinforcement. Left at half time to take a walk thru the BLVD and then I went to 3 different gates "pleading" to get back in. One gate attendant finally let me back in but it was kinda a clandestine operation with the attendant advising me dont tell anybody about this and I will let you back in "this one time". I had cargo shorts on and entering the stadium BEFORE the game the attendant searched all four pockets stating "I want to make sure you weren't sneaking in chips or food". Relax on this !!!!

I have seen you say this in the past, maybe you should let everyone know which gate you use. Share the love.

I don't know, so I will ask---why is re-entry not allowed? Why can hands not be stamped for re-entry?
It makes sense to me.

nobody knows, which is why I think it should be changed and will result in more fans staying till the end and butts in the seats. SID may have an answer...

I'm not trying to call anyone out, I am trying to point out that the first thing that must change for a team like SMU is the attitude. I'm sure JJ told the team the same thing when he took over. But when I come on this board, which is primarily die-hard Pony fans, I see the same excuses. It's either this or it's that... life is full of successful stories of people or organizations or teams that refused to accept excuses and instead changed things for the better.
I saw what JJ did at Hawaii. He took a team that was on the brink of being dissolved completely to being in a BCS bowl game in 9 years and he did it w/ zero recruiting ability. $50,000 a year... that's what he had to work w/ for recruiting. And I saw how the higher-ups at Hawaii took him for granted and eventually... he split.
Since he's been gone they've had one good year... last season... and this w/ end they lost to San Jose State. Read that again. San Jose State!
SMU has it easier because of location and also past history. Yet it's just excuses and more excuses. Believe it or not, fans have power. Fans can make a difference. Take a friend to a game. Then maybe he brings someone to the next game. And on and on. You have a team that is winning and playing an exciting brand of football. If I would have come on this board when JJ was hired and posted that in the next 3+ seasons your team would go to two bowl games, win one of those, play for the conference championship and in year four would be 5-1 w/ a win over a hated rival who was a Top 25 ranked team, most of you would have thought I was nuts. Heck, ALL of you would have thought that.
But that's what has happened. And it can get even better. But they need support. That's all I am trying to say. I don't doubt the people here, you guys post on an SMU board... you obviously must be big fans. But come on man... at some point the excuses have to stop and the attitude has to change.
If June adopted that same attitude and made excuses... this team would still be mired in the 1-11 seasons. You expect more from the coach... why is it so hard to expect more from the fans? Find a way... that's all I am saying.
To quote your last line, "That's all I am saying...." No, that's really not all you're saying. You are blasting anyone who says TCU followed a good path to success, and we might learn from it. You are saying that people here in Big D, even though not SMU grads, can be led to buy tickets (and I'm sure, as you live in KC, you go 25 miles west to attend the KU games, right?) You're saying that people here near the campus don't have the right "attitude". Appreciate your long distance support for the team, but maybe you are preaching too much.

Re: Something very disturbing...
it's not like people have been waiting to come see us play...im not sure why people think that being 5-1 is gonna attract THAT many more people.
we win out and go to a 2nd tier bowl then people will take notice, doubtful till then.
