You make the call!

Postby Lamont_Cranston » Mon Nov 01, 2004 11:32 pm

Three games left. Tulsa, Nevada & UTEP. What do you think will really happen in these final games of 2004? Will the Mustangs come alive? Or have they already laid over and played dead? Make your predictions on the fate of SMU football for this year...and possibly for the future.

My predictions: a win over Tulsa for Homecoming, a close loss to Nevada and a blow out by UTEP over the Mustangs.

I'd give anything for TWO wins in the last 3. Even if we don't win another game, it's better than last year's winless nightmare, but the lopsided scores in some games have stung as much or more than last year. We need at least one win. Two would be cause for parties all over Mustang Nation.

You're right, I'm afraid, about UTEP. Jordan Palmer looks like his brother this year. And he's just a sophomore - scary.

Put me down for one more win, and let me hope and pray for two more.

GO MUSTANGS!

The way I see it.

If we win one of the last three games Bennett is safe for another year.

If we lose all three, Bennett may or may not get fired....probably not.

If we get blown out in all three of the last games Bennett will be fired.

So really it boils down to "how" we get beat if we lose the last three that will determine Bennett's fate.

To many times I have taken the agressive path to forcast victories.

I do see one more win for this team. Now that is better than last year.

We can beat both Tulsa and Nevada if we play well. At least we are at home for those games.

See you on the Blvd. :D
