ponyboy, don’t try and paint Frost as a dirty politician and Sessions as a saint. That’s great that you know Sessions and I’m sure he IS a good guy, but just because I don’t side with him, you started assaulting Frost’s character?? It’s these kind of politics that are dirty. I just happen to agree with Frost’s policies and views.....which should be the real issues.
BTW, big props to the Mustang Band for getting a shout out from The Prez last night. That was pretty cool.

I didn't streak in college. Are you saying I'm immoral?

Me neither. Although my roommate did pants me during an intramural contest once.

I tried to get a group to streak once, but everyone was too chicken to go through with it.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.

I vote in a very dominant Republican County. The vote encoding machine was broken and no one was allowed to vote until it was repaired (over an hour). I'll bet it was Democrats trying to intimidate the vote. I think it is my right to vote 2 or 3 times if I want to and the dirty politicians want to stop me. I heard that someone might ask for an ID. Nazi's!!!!!!. Next thing you know, they'll demand that I live in this county. How ridiculous is that?!!!!!!!!
On a serious note, Man, I am glad this is over. Truly, I hope everyone will now try to do the right things for the US no matter who wins. Let's demand our elected officials try it for a year.

There was some kind of Bush appearance a few years ago, and some objectors/protestors were allowed to stand across the street (in front of the fence around the intramural fields) with their signs, banners, etc. There weren't many of them (this is SMU, after all), and nobody caused any trouble. They stood there (in the rain, no less), held their signs up, took a little heckling from Bush supporters, and eventually called it a night. This move is a little disconcerting. Not that I want to see a bunch of protestors, but they do have that right.
When I got out last night there were a few student looking types milling around with some Kerry and/or anti-bush signs, but nobody who didn't look like they could be SMU students. Perhaps they allowed student protestors. Either way it is important for people to remember that first admendment rights are public rights - your right to free speach ends on my private property.
how do SMU students look?

In this case, 18-25, and not homeless looking. I think they all qualified as looking like they could be enrolled.

The so-called epicenter of Bush country (Dallas Co.) sure had a close race:
Bush- 345,482 (50.4%)
Kerry- 335,871 (49.0%)
It appears that Harris Co. (Houston) is more of Bush country than the Big D:
Bush- 580,553 (55.0%)
Kerry- 472,320 (44.6%)

Well when you're the largest county in the state (Harris) in population and you've got a lot of oilmen and people who depend on the oil industry residing there, it makes sense.

Yeah, not to mention the smoke-producing industry. Dubya's got a lot of buddies there with smoke factories making Houston the biggest polluted toilet in America, all with his blessing.

You'll get no argument from me on that point. It's too bad Senator Kerry didn't bring that up during his campaign...not that it would have mattered.
