Football observations from OL membersTalked to two players (O-Line) and both independently stated they are soooo much better than last year. Only have a small prtion of the offense in and they would rather play with the little they have now thatn 100 % of whta they played with last year! Incredible!!!! Said Coach Stanley is a really good coach and they are learning alot. Blocking schemes are easier but mcuh better.

Re: Football observations from OL membersGreat to hear - thanks, Stampede.
Too often last year, our offense stalled because the line wasn't opening lanes for runners or Page was left flat on his back (or running for his life). Better protection would mean bigger games for the offense - both on the ground and through the air - and would help the defense because they wouldn't be on the field as much. Improving the offensive line is crucial this year. Who were the linemen you talked to? "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
... "Hit it."
Re: Football observations from OL membersThe point is:
The players, including the starters I talked with, are saying this years blocking schemes and offense is sooo much easier and thus BETTER for the O LINE. They both independently say they would rahter play with this offense than last years running on all cylinders. SMU...2nd to None
