Like many here, I was there.

I remember telling my future ex-wife... "It's going to be OK. They're going to be ok after all this."

I had no idea.
Stallion doesn't think I'm a stinkin' genius anymore.

A replay with Uconn at Ford would be a great way to kick off our membership in the BE.

Long and winding road for both teams. At that time UConn was a 1-AA team (and not a very good one at that.) They played in a small stadium on campus and as a student you showed your ID and could sit on the home side 50 yard line without any problem. The thought of playing big time football was beyond imagination and laughable.

Well, it works for me. It appears there is a long and winding road to redemption in College Football and other (NCAA) sports. My Michigan Wolverines have taken down Final 4 banners in Crisler Arena by their own doing. But to be honest the only thing I would know about SMU had it not happened was the Pony Express and Doak Walker because Doak played for Detroit.... I think the BCS conference CRAP needs to go the F away. Let there be playoffs OR let there be a FAIR bowl system maybe even incorporating playoff.

WE lost to Appalachian State...... How do you avoid that, EASY. Don't play Appalachian State, Play SMU or Tulsa or for crap sakes USC or UT as a non conference opponent. I truly miss when Michigan played the toughest Schedule in the USA, IE the Gary Moeller era. But I'm pretty sure SMU will aquitt herself just fine in the " Big East" I hope you guys or Houston can expose just how much of a load of CHIT the current system is on the scoreboard. Funniest thing about that is it all came about because of a disagreement between Nebraska and Michigan (2 Current Big Ten Teams) about who was better in '97 like anybody REALLY cares any more, I call it a Mythical National Championship as does the U of M same thing they say about the other 10 mythical titles. Previous to that, the Rose Bowl were the only big dog doing it right.
