Eric Dickerson

Post by jpe747 »

Eric Dickerson was at the game waving to fans and shaking hands. After the game he was outside Ford Stadium signing autographs and having pictures made with fans. Eric is showing his character being there for fans and promoting SMU football. I loved watching him play as a Mustang and I appreciate his efforts to make SMU one of the best football programs around. For that to happen he has to play a big part. Obviously he again is a Mustang 'star'. Thanks to you Eric Dickerson. Salute!

I saw him doing the same at the bookstore after a game last season. That's awesome!
Thanks ED!

Got a picture of him with my boys today...he was extremely nice and very happy to take a picture or sign an autograph for all of the fans that asked.

Honestly, I was surprised that there were so few people around him.

Also proudly showing his pony fingers high while the band played Varsity after the game. You can tell he has true love for his alma mater

Eric Dickerson was different than any other time I've ever run into him in the past. I am sure it's a hassle always being approached by fans, so I can understand why he always seemed like "well I'm really busy but ok". Today Eric Dickerson seemed like he was in a great mood and was super patient with fans approaching him for pics and autographs. Of course cameras malfunction and he would wait patiently until the picture was taken even if it took a couple of tries. Kudos to Eric Dickerson for being so nice/approachable today and making so many people smile about something SMU.

During his freshman year Ron Meyer said "everytime 19 touches the ball I wanna see 6." He was and is a class act. I was lucky enough to see all but three of his college games. Never saw a better one at SMU. I put him and Earl Campbell at the head of the class of the old SWC.
