SMU alum and Navy OCS. Long, long time ago.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Dutch, my son loves 1st & Ten more than he likes hearing my Navy flying stories. Both of us are big fans of a Point burger and plate of cheese fries. We will definitely be stopping by on our trip up this weekend.

I think it would be very un-American not to be a fan of that!

I am very grateful for Moose and all others that served or still serving in the armed forces. God Bless them all.

Active duty Marine here. Being under the Dept of the Navy counts, right?
Pretty cool 3 days I have from a patriotic point of view: Marine Corps Birthday today (happy 236th!), Veteran's Day tomorrow (thanks to both of my grandfathers!), and the SMU-NAVY game on Saturday!

Vote for Adam Still today. He's close and your vote could put him in the lead.

SMU alum and Navy OCS. However, when I was in the service, the ships were wooden and had sails.
Beat Navy ( and I hope we end up in the same conference).

I grew up in a Navy family, and did my stint as a CTI right after high school. This is the only game of the year that I'm even remotely conflicted on. Still though, I hope we hang a hundred on those Middies and their stupid goat.

Since that counts, USMC here... And as they say, got here as fast as I could... SMU MBA, which BTW has paid off ten fold, personally and professionally. Loved SMU long before I had an opportunity to attend. Semper Fi and Pony Up!
