Cool Offense June...Part7!

Post by shadowman »

This game was not on the defense...you hold Navy to 24 points..you should be routing them...see East Carolina...ECU!!!!!!...their offense pummeled Navy's defense...

But no, we are stuck with an offense that has no clue, does not know how to speed things up...basically lost against good teams.

TCU made the mistake of blitzing, June can handle that, BUT, if you drop 8 back in coverage...June has to scratch his [deleted], he has no answer for that.

Can we please see how out of date and lost this offense is and send June out to pasture....

You lose to a 3-6 Navy team at home, while only scoring 17 points...you should be fired.

ECU had 17 points in the first quarter..and they suck...

Please..PLease...PLE.....PLEA...PLEAS...PLEAS...PLEASE....get rid of June Jones, he is a burnout with an outdated offense that everyone figured how to stop in the late 90's...

/Cheers

Flooding the secondary does seem to work against us.

JJ was the right coach for us a few years ago, he has served his purpose...time to move on.

This thread should get to about 7 pages.

the reason people can flood the secondary is that McD is no threat whatsoever to run for a first down. A qb with average mobility would have won that game today.

that was my thought on more than one occasion when all he had to do was run 5 yds in open space to pick up a 1st down and keep a drive alive

he has to the the least mobile QB in all of D-1. And thats not something SMU can afford to have because we aren't strong enough up front. Its been obvious for some time that we are actually better at run blocking than pass blocking. Perhaps because several of these guys were Bennett recruits. A real shame, Padron was just what we needed today, some supposed 'happy feet'. I'll give McD that much, he sure doesnt have happy feet.

Nice point...put a generic spread offense that an 8th grade coach could implement would be a better fit for our talent.....

Why is June still considered a great offensive mind...people stopped the run and shoot long ago...that is why he ended up a coach at Hawaii.

This offense is a waste of talent with our experienced O line....Yes, McDermott is not good, but if we had a better offense with our talent...not a problem...

June needs to take his Lei...jump on a big gelding..and get the F out of dodge....

Padron could not beat Navy either. Or Army for that matter.

It's always frustrating when the offense isn't clicking.
I find problems with strategy, like knowing a good balance of when to call a run or pass and what type etc.
There are time management issues today as well.
It would take me too long to talk about today's problems.
It's like any offense. You got the right players in to play it and it should GO well.
I'll still support our boys through the wins and losses.
Go Mustangs!

All I can say is Im looking forward to 2012 and 2013 season. Hopefully with padron and gilbert combo, we should be able to be an offense again. Our defense, did the best job they could and I could totally understand them getting down after those big interceptions, especially after they got an interception for the offense. It was a very disappointing game, and I hope the recruiters could spend it around to say look at our new opportunities on offense, clearly.

I've said it a 1000 times. This offense is a fairy queen. So late 80's. I HATE the R&S.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Special Mention should be made that June still refuses to put in a fast break offense that continually mystifies his defense. Could have used that while we were running out our own clock down the stretch
