You want to try and estimate the number of posts you've placed here crying about how Turner did not help UNT get into CUSA but vouched for LaTech, or do you want me to?
I say YOU, disloyal NTSUer, are the one saying NTSU needs SMU's help.

If that had been Moats at La Tech, would "Gerald Boy" have picked up the phone and called his man-crush buddy and president friend at La Tech to correct it?
No one in the USA will buy into that because of SMU's past attitude toward anything having to do with NORTH TEXAS. You deny the atttitude, too?
And why show the number of edits on a posts, Mr. Administrator? Most of mine are merely to go back and spell a few words, uh, korectally!:(

Once again, your UNT-disloyal post presumes that UNT is incapable of overcoming "SMU's past attitude" on its own, without help from a call from Turner. Pitiful alum.

Did Turner make a call on behalf of a non Texas school, namely La Tech, and that over a matter that involved UNT?
You know, La Tech, that bastion of higher education located about 6 hours from the Metroplex? Of course, I forgot about the long-standing tradition SMU had with La Tech, too.
Tradition? Did you know UNT and SMU first teed it up in football about the time World War I began? When did SMU ever even think about playing (or scheduling) La Tech when the 'Stangs were in the SWC? And you want to talk about tradition?

So you are confirming you wanted Turner to make that call for UNT, that UNT could not fend for itself. Pitiful. With disloyal fans like you, it's no wonder UNT is on the attendance bubble.

Sorry, I don't control that, the board does.
Now that I have educated myself on the matter, you're right, Thomas got robbed. Personally I don't like how they bent the rules to get Peterson on the ballot to begin with, which is obviously what transpired here. I think the committee probably still has a bias against freshman but were probably pressured into getting Peterson in there, as no one will shut up about him.
And perhaps some part of SMU bias was involved, although I'm not sure how many ties the committee does have to SMU. I know the chairman got his law degree at SMU but his undergraduate education was at Georgetown.
But if they are going to change the rules for one guy . . . yeah, I don't really agree with that.

Thomas isn't good enough to win the Doak Walker Award, the Heisman Trophy, or any other National award. He might win the SBC player of the year. Good luck in that. Buh, bye.

You obviously have not listened to the ESPN guys or have seen Super Jamario on Sports Center if you are so naive' to say that.
While SMU sits home for yet another bowl season, you can check him out (secretly, of course) on ESPN, 12-14-04 at 6:30 PM (CST).

Awww--maybe UNT shoulda asked them to call CUSA on its behalf. Boy you really don't think UNT can stand up for itself, do you? You have no loyalty to UNT if your opinion of its ability to stand on its own merits is that low.

This guy is obsessed with SMU. Just look at the times he visits our site and the number of posts he makes. It’s pretty obvious.
And MeanGreen, you mentioned that we consider you (NT) important because of the number of views this thread has had??? Well......we have a thread on here about burgers that has been viewed over 2500 times. So using that logic, you only need about 1000 more views until we consider NT as important as burgers. Congrats.

Probably only those who reside in University Park?
Hellsbells, even over here in Fort Worth they are calling him, uh, "SUPER" Jamario!
6 ESPN+ televised games (and 1 national ESPN telecast) although costing us some home attendance numbers without a DFW black-out has created all but a new fan club for JThomas.
Obviously, yall haven't heard ESPN's Jim Donnan rave on and on about SJ? Of course, we know there would be no admittance of that if you did.
