Trust
is something that is hard to gain and easy to lose... June was starting to gain my trust, even given some of the percieved setbacks on the field, but over the last few weeks he has completely lost it. I honestly don't think I will ever trust him again. As much as I appriciate what he has done and is doing for us, I'm kinda ready for him to move on...

Newsflash altar boys- this is college football, not vacation Bible school. Everyone is a whore if the price is right. JJ has as much loyalty as you probably have to your job if a better offer came calling, or in Nick's case, to his virtual group of friends on World of Warcraft. JJ didn't graduate from SMU, he has no built in loyalty here. Again, if you want to hire a guy who's going to love SMU and stay here forever, then find a coach who graduated from here (maybe)
Funny this is, 99.99 percent of people on this board would do the EXACT same thing at their respective jobs as June has done, timing be damned. Yet some here want to paint him as some turncoat scoundrel. Several people around here need to shut the [deleted] up already, you've made your points, they aren't good ones, and they've gotten stale (to say the least)

So we've got Herman Cain and Mitch McConnell as avatars now??? When did pf.com get political?
When I see someone with a Nancy Pelosi pic, I'll know it's time to delete my pf.com account.

Haha. I actually see him pretty often when we take our boat out...sitting on his dock on Figure 8 Island. And he's usually checking our girls out.

I guess he tried to get out while his value was high with the 7 wins. Next year his stock may not be so high.

Like I said before- gotta strike while the iron's hot. Maybe JJ will use this as extra motivation, turn in his best coaching performance to date next season, win 10 games, then take Tedford's job at Cal??

Interesting thought.

Well I know you'll be rooting against us in every game regardless
Re: Trust
I think Nick is just saying it will be tough for him to do that when JJ is on the record as saying it will be somewhat of a down year. But if that motivates JJ to a 10 win season so be it and he can go to Cal.
