Re: Fedora to UNC
Guess that means Sumlin to A&M. ASU thought they could have their pick of JJ, Fedora or Sumlin
Fedora to UNC
Early on, during the 70 days we were lost in the wilderness without a coach, I was really hoping we would at least look at Fedora. USM canned Bower and scooped him up. He was clearly a future HC.
and yes I was aware he would have left SMU for greener pastures eventually. I didn't care.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Interesting. I thought Malzahn was in the drivers seat for UNC job. Where does he go now?

Re: Fedora to UNC
I have stated before, I went to school with Larry when I attended Austin College. He and his wife, Christy are good poeple. He is tough but fair, he proved he can coach. I wish nothing but the best for him and his family

Re: Fedora to UNC
strong hire for UNC. Tarheel alum friends of mine are happy with this, although I think they wanted someone a bit more high profile.
Re: Fedora to UNC
UNC will never get a high profile football coach. UNC has always been, and will always be a basketball school.

Re: Fedora to UNC
Butch Davis was pretty high profile. I agree with you that UNC is a bb school first, but I assure you that the Rams Club want to make football successful at UNC. And they sell out their games, which is more than I can say for our "football first" school.

Re: Fedora to UNC
I agree that SMU has trouble filling up their stadium. If UNC considers Butch Davis a high profile coach, than the Tar Heels bar is set pretty low. I'm not sure about UNC selling their stadium out on a regular basis. Last few years UNC's stadium only looks about half full.
